Legion provides national claims response resources to insurance carriers following major natural disasters and weather events.
The management team at Legion has worked with both Federal and State officials to organize and execute on governmental disaster recovery plans. We provide personnel to staff claims processing centers, such as those in New York following Super Storm Sandy, in south Louisiana following the large scale flooding of 2016, and other major events. Additionally, our personnel has worked with private companies in the environmental and industrial sectors for years, both in a pre-event consulting role and in response to actual and highly visible catastrophic events, such as the BP Deep Water Horizon oil spill along the Gulf Coast.
The flood management team at Legion is dedicated to providing exceptional claims service to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), Write Your Own (WYO), Private, Lender Placed and Excess flood carriers. Our claims professionals provide assurance to clients that their policyholders will be treated with respect and dignity at the time of their loss when they are most vulnerable. Our team provides prompt and professional service for daily and catastrophic flooding events across the nation.
Insurance carriers and governmental departments sometimes find themselves in temporary, high volume claims scenarios, when their full-time staff numbers are insufficient to timely and properly address the volume of claims and telephone calls coming in. Legion can provide trained call center operators and claims professionals, using state of the art software platforms, with quality management to fill this or any other temporary specialty staffing needs in a way that meets and even exceeds our clients’ expectations.
*COVID-19 Response – In 2020 and throughout 2021, Legion has been called upon by state unemployment insurance departments to provide temporary call center and UI claims adjudication services and has successfully adjudicated hundreds of thousands of unemployment claims and issues. For insurance carriers, we have also vetted volumes of insurance claims for pandemic-related business interruption claims made by policyholders.
The Legion leadership team spent their formative years adjusting daily, multi-lines claims before branching out into CAT claim response. With an understanding that a daily claims program and CAT response have differing needs, Legion also understands the desire of some carriers to have a seamless transition between the two and thus we can develop daily property claims adjusting programs that can more easily scale up quickly and easily for timely catastrophe response.
